JVI is proud of its service to our industry and community. We are active in a wide variety of organizations. For example, our chief executive, Ron Nation participates actively in Florida Tax Watch, a private, non-profit, non-partisan research institute, that over its 30 year history, has become widely recognized as the watchdog of citizens′ hard-earned tax dollars. Our president, Bill Pittenger, is active in economic and forecasting organizations including the Economic Development Research Institute (EDRI) and the Florida Economic Research Network (FERN) of Enterprise Florida. Our chief appraiser, Herb Jourdan, is a Trustee of the Appraisal Foundation and a member of the Industry Advisory Council (IAC). All three hold both the MAI and SRA professional designations of the Appraisal Institute. JVI recently hosted an open house for its local clients and the Central Florida business community. The program included an introduction of JVI and its management team by Ron Nation, CEO of JVI Solutions. That was followed by an economic outlook presentation by JVI Appraisal Division president and chief economist, Bill Pittenger. Mr. Pittenger spoke on Lessons from the Old Economy, Doing Business in the New. The entire event was well received and was the first of more similar events to come.

JVI’s John Cirincione, SRA, CRE, FRICS, spoke at the Thai Appraisal Foundation’s recent conference in Bangkok, Thailand. The theme for this fourth international conference was Valuing Infrastructure and Utility Properties. Mr. Cirincione spoke on the creation of data standards to improve data reliability and reduce risk. The program was jointly hosted by the International Right of Way Association, Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, Institution of Valuers of India, the Lithuanian Association of Business Valuation Enterprises and Thai Appraisal Foundation. Other presenters represented countries throughout Asia as well as India, Lithuania, Canada and the United States. Mr. Cirincione is a widely recognized expert in data standards. He serves as Director of Business Development at JVI.
