The Review Appraiser reviews appraisal reports in their assigned region and other regions when necessary. The Review Appraiser maintains the quality and accuracy of the appraisal reports in their assigned region, including:

1. Review reports for FHA requirements, quality, and accuracy.
2. Request corrections from Appraisers utilizing the CMS System.
3. Follow-up with Appraisers on corrections requested in order to receive corrections in a timely manner. E-mail or call the Appraiser after correction request in order to obtain an accurate, timely appraisal.
4. Educate the Appraisers to the specific needs of client requirements.
5. Develop a positive report and communication with Appraisers.
6. Keep up-to-date with the ever-changing guidelines and requirements of assigned region, as well as the national standards.
7. Communicate with the Regional Appraisal Coordinator any Appraiser that continually returns substandard work in order to maintain quality appraisal reports.
8. Maintain the lowest possible number of cases on the critical path.
9. Assist the Regional Appraisal Coordinator on corrections requested by the client in order to avoid asking for corrections that may violate standards of professional practice or client guidelines.
10. Assist Quality Control in sending out monthly correction request reports.
11. Assist Quality Control in sending out monthly Appraiser Report Cards.
12. Discuss technical appraisal issues with Senior Appraiser in order to resolve discrepancies and request accurate appraisal corrections.
13. Discuss procedural issues with Regional Appraisal Coordinator in order to resolve discrepancies.
14. Work with Regional Appraisal Coordinator on cross-training as directed by the Appraisal Manager.
15. Other assignments as given by the Appraisal Manager or Assistant Appraisal Manager.
