Gramm-Leach-Bliley Public Data Protection

Financial Privacy Rule
It is the policy of JVI, in compliance with the Financial Policy Rule of the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act, to provide each consumer with a privacy notice at the time the consumer relationship is established and annually thereafter. The privacy notice provides information collected about the consumer, where that information is shared, how that information is used, and how that information is protected. If applicable, the consumer is also informed of their right to opt out of the information being shared with unaffiliated parties pursuant to the provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. In the event there is a modification to JVI’s privacy policy at any point in time, the consumer is notified again for acceptance and each time the privacy notice is reestablished, the consumer has the right to opt out again. If applicable, any unaffiliated parties receiving the nonpublic information are held to the acceptance terms of the consumer under the original relationship agreement.

Safeguards Rule
It is the policy of JVI, in compliance with the Safeguards Rule of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, to protect our clients’ nonpublic personal information. This is accomplished via data transfer encryption at all data transfer points both internally and between 3rd party vendors as well as pass-through methodologies of sensitive information to 3rd party vendors so as not to store such information locally. This prevents even the local technical staff from having access to any nonpublic personal information of our clients. Also, where access to nonpublic personal information must be granted, it is granted to only authorized personnel and is restricted by the use of password protection and permissions. Additionally, regular testing of the safeguards are performed to ensure their effectiveness as well as a regular risk assessments to verify the viability of the above policy and to make necessary modifications in the event of technology changes.

Facililty Location:
JVI maintains a primary site and a recovery site. JVI’s recovery site is categorized as a “warm site” and the data is current with the primary production site to within eight (8) business hours. The recovery facility is located at various offsite data centers. JVI’s Primary Production Site is co-located in Seminole County in Lake Mary, FL and the Disaster Recover Production Site is located in various offsite data centers.

Equipment:
JVI manages the purchase, support, and maintenance of all information resources located within various data centers across the US.

Back-up:
JVI performs back-ups of the Primary Production site daily. This information is stored offsite at JVI’s disaster Recovery Facility with various approved disaster recovery storage vendors. JVI performs SQL Server log shipping between its Primary Production Database Servers and the Recovery Database Servers. The log shipping process between these database servers are scheduled every 5 minutes for critical data and at least daily for all other data. JVI also copies web and associated documents nightly from the Primary Production site’s servers to and from the Recovery servers.

Resumption of Operations:
In the event of a disaster resulting in the need to activate the standby systems located in the Disaster Recovery Facility, JVI estimates turnaround time to full production within 24 hours. Once a disaster has been declared for the Primary systems, the systems located in the Disaster Recovery site will be activated and available to host JVI’s products and services. DNS records are currently synchronized with the Primary Domain Controller. Once the standby site is ready to begin processing production information, the Users will be notified that their application ready to resume operations.
